about our ADMIN team

Kara Foye, LMHC, (she/her) is the visionary behind Oak Path Counseling Services. Guided by a deep belief in the transformative power of therapy, she expanded Oak Path to reach a broader community than she could as a solo provider. Recognizing the need for greater access to quality care, Kara created a collaborative environment to support both clients and fellow clinicians—those committed to equity and dedicated to making a meaningful impact.

Kara’s career has centered on helping individuals navigate challenges such as eating disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. Her compassionate approach is grounded in evidence-based practices, and she views the therapeutic relationship as a partnership—one that empowers clients to build on their strengths and pursue lasting change.

At Oak Path Counseling Services, Kara’s mission goes beyond one-on-one counseling. She strives to cultivate a thriving community of mental health professionals who share her passion for holistic care and empathic support. By nurturing both clients and clinicians—whether in-person or through telehealth—Kara ensures Oak Path remains a trusted source of healing, resilience, and hope for all who seek its services.

Bailey Dowler, LICSW, IEDS (she/her) serves as Assistant Clinical Director at Oak Path, where she supports program development, provides guidance to clinicians, and helps strengthen the collaborative, growth-oriented culture of the practice.

With over 9 years of experience in the mental health field, Bailey has worked across many levels of care, including inpatient, residential, group homes, and therapeutic school settings. In her clinical work, she enjoys working with children (8 years and up), teens, and young adults navigating depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and trauma. She is passionate about eating disorder education, advocacy, and recovery and holds certification as an Inclusive Eating Disorder Specialist. She strives to promote body diversity and inclusivity in her practice and considers herself to be HAES-aligned.

Bailey utilizes a trauma-informed, person-centered approach to collaborate with clients and families to address challenges. She values humor and finds that it can be incredibly healing when used thoughtfully in therapy. She integrates Art Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI), as she believes that combining approaches often leads to the most effective and personalized treatment.

As Practice Manager, Ember Rushford-Emery, BA (she/her), brings a unique blend of operational expertise and compassionate leadership to her position at Oak Path Counseling Services. In previous roles, Ember focused on team coordination, client communication, and problem-solving, always striving to balance the needs of staff and clients. These experiences equipped her to support Oak Path’s clinicians and ensure that every client has a positive and seamless experience, from their first inquiry to their ongoing care.

Ember is passionate about creating an atmosphere of trust, care, and professionalism where everyone can thrive. Behind the scenes, she works hard to ensure our practice runs smoothly, allowing our clinicians to focus on providing the best possible care.
